Verity’s Company set up page lets admins model their organisation’s hierarchy directly inside the platform. Once your structure is in place, you can assign practice bots to the right people, filter performance reports by region or team, and ensure every user is connected to the correct part of the business.
Overview
Verity organises your company across three levels:
Region (Level 1) — the top-level grouping, typically a large geographic area or business division (e.g. APAC, EMEA, North America).
Sub-region (Level 2) — a subdivision within a region (e.g. Asia Pacific North, Asia Pacific South, Northern Europe). Sub-regions report to their parent region.
Group (Level 3) — the most granular level, representing individual teams or offices within a sub-region (e.g. Tokyo Enterprise Sales, Mumbai Learning & Development). Groups report to their parent sub-region.
Each group displays a member count and a Manage users link, giving admins quick access to add or remove people from that team.
Note: Users who have not been assigned to any group will appear under Unassigned at the bottom of the page.
Where to find it
In the left navigation menu, click Structure. This opens the Company set up page.
Customising level names and functions
By default Verity uses the labels Region, Sub-region, and Group. You can rename these to match your company’s terminology and define the job functions used in your organisation.
How to customise level names
Click the Profile button in the top-right corner of the Company set up page. The Company details dialog will open.
Under Structure, you’ll see three editable fields labelled Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Each field shows the current label (e.g. “Region”, “Sub-region”, “Group”).
Click into any field and type your preferred label. For example, you might rename Level 1 to Country and Level 2 to City.
Click Save. A “Saved company details” confirmation will appear at the top of the screen and your new labels will be applied across the platform.
Browsing and filtering your structure
The Company set up page gives you several ways to navigate your organisation:
Expand / collapse — click the chevron (›) on any region or sub-region row to expand it and see its children. Click again to collapse.
Search — use the Search here bar to find a specific group or sub-region by name.
Filter dropdowns — use the Region, Sub-Region, and Group dropdowns to narrow the view. The Region dropdown also shows a summary of each region’s sub-regions, making it easy to navigate large organisations.
Adding regions, sub-regions, and groups
Click the + Add button in the top-right corner. An inline form will appear at the top of the list with a Select type… dropdown. Choose one of:
Adding a Region
1. Select Region from the type dropdown.
2. Enter a name in the Name field.
3. Click Save. The new region will appear in the list.
Adding a Sub-region
1. Select Sub-region from the type dropdown.
2. Enter a name in the Name field.
3. Use the Assign region dropdown to select which region this sub-region belongs to.
4. Click Save.
Adding a Group
1. Select Group from the type dropdown.
2. Enter a name in the Name field.
3. Use the Assign region dropdown to choose the parent region. The dropdown shows each region’s sub-regions to help you navigate.
4. Once a region is selected, an Assign sub-region dropdown will appear. Select the specific sub-region this group sits under.
5. Click Save. The group will appear nested under the correct sub-region in the list.
Managing users within a group
Every group row shows a member count and a Manage users link. Click Manage users to go directly to the Users page filtered to that group, where you can add or remove members.
Tip: You can also manage users centrally from Settings → Users in the left navigation. The link in the info banner at the top of the Company set up page takes you there directly.
Editing and deleting items
Click the three-dot menu (…) on any region or sub-region row to access rename and delete options. Use this to keep your structure up to date as your organisation evolves.
Note: Deleting a region or sub-region will also remove its children. Make sure to reassign any users before deleting.
How your structure is used across Verity
Once your hierarchy is set up, it powers several other parts of the platform:
Assigning practice bots — when assigning participants to a bot, you can select entire regions, sub-regions, or groups rather than individuals, making bulk assignment fast.
Inviting users — when adding a new user, admins assign them to the appropriate region, sub-region, and group to ensure they appear in the right reports and bot assignments.
Performance reporting — the Performance, My progress, and Evaluations sections can all be filtered by region, sub-region, and group, so managers see results relevant to their team.
Permissions — access controls can be scoped to specific regions or groups, giving regional managers visibility of their own teams without seeing others.
